Operomanija releases LPs with sound recordings of the company’s productions. The LP format was chosen to promote the culture of slow listening. So far the company has released five LPs: opera Have a Good Day! (2018), Bad Weather Long Play (2019), audio play Audiokaukas (2019), comic strip opera Alpha (2020) and dance opera NO AI DI (2020). Through its recording/publishing projects the company strives to contribute to phonotheque of records by contemporary Lithuanian authors. Meanwhile, the recording of Audiokaukas revives the formerly popular traditions of radio theatre.
Recording activities of Operomanija began in 2009, when a triple CD featuring five sound recordings of the short operas presented at the 2nd NOA Festival was released (featuring mystery opera Babel, opera Hole, opera NOT to be or not to BE, opera for children Mamma Moo and mono drama-opera Isadora). The recordings were released as part of the programme Vilnius European Capital of Culture 2009 project Music Laboratory Network “Process”: Sound Recording Laboratory.
