In May 2021 the Internet radio Rasų Radijas launched the broadcast of Antistatic. First series of Antistatic broadcasts was dedicated to sound recordings of contemporary musical theatre works produced by Operomanija. Presentations of these recordings were followed by introductory conversations acting as a kind of antistatic measure assisting the airing of vinyl recordings, simultaneously serving as inspiration for the title of the radio broadcast. In 2022 Antistatic is planning to expand the scope of broadcasts to reflect the processes of new opera and contemporary musical theatre associated with activities carried out by Operomanija.
The broadcast is hosted by musicologist Veronika Janatjeva; it features insights on contemporary musical theatre provided by artists, researchers, critics and public figures coming from diverse spheres. Periodicity of broadcasts depends on the current creative topics relevant to contemporary musical theatre, they are tied to specific events and are aimed to reflect on them. After airing live on Rasų Radijas, broadcast recordings are published at Operomanija’s Soundcloud profile.
